Reservation Process

Reservations are required for all groups. Complete the online reservation form with your field trip details. Drake’s team will contact you to finalize the reservation or discuss options. You can also call 513-396-5578 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm), but the online form is the fastest method. A nonrefundable deposit is required, which will be deducted from your balance.

Drake Planetarium is located INSIDE Norwood High School.
For security purposes and the safety of Norwood High School students, Drake Planetarium staff will escort your group into the building.
 

Field Trip FAQs

• Programs are scheduled in one-hour blocks.

• Groups ≤25: $250 minimum for 1 hour in the Planetarium or LEGO Lab.

• Groups >25: $10 per person per hour.

• All attendees (students, adults, educators, parents, etc) need a ticket.

• One free adult ticket is provided per 25 people.

• Adults without reserved seats are not guaranteed seating.

Charter Operators & Third Parties

Drake Planetarium communicates directly with the school/group’s official representative. Third parties (e.g., charter operators, travel agents) arranging trips are financially responsible, with payment due two weeks in advance.
 

Field Trip Recommendations

Drake Planetarium and Science Center suggests planetarium shows and Explorer Classes tailored to your classroom, including Ohio Common Core correlations, educator resources, and curriculum guides. View grade-level programming options or make reservations online.
