Why Donate

Drake Planetarium and Science Center is operated by Tri-State Education and Technology Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit educational organization with the mission to teach science to the youth of Greater Cincinnati. This is accomplished through Drake Planetarium, Drake Science Center, Environmental Education at Lindner Park, and Outreach programs for area schools.

Your support of Drake Planetarium & Science Center is needed to continue the commitment made when it was founded in 1982 with the mission to provide a wide range of supplemental, active learning science programs that stress the learned use of higher order thinking skills necessary to function in today's society. We are committed to offering age-appropriate, hands-on, fun oriented student participation in lab experiences that stress higher order thinking skills.

Your Donation

You can donate any amount of money to help support our daily operations and programs. We have provided some suggested amounts on our online donation page.

In addition to general donations there are some specific programs available for you to direct your donations:

Underwriting Education and Public Programming - Annually our programs reach over 80 schools and 30,000 students in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Our education programs cover astronomy, engineering, basic science, and even math and reading.

Matching Funds – Check to see if your company offers a matching fund program where they will match any funds you donate at a specific percentage.

Donating Stock – Talk to your financial advisor about donating stocks to the Tri-State Education and Technology Foundation.

Legacy – Include the Tri-State Education and Technology Foundation in your Will. Plan to leave a lasting contribution of an expanded science education for future generations.
